Raven, you epitomize freedom
Soaring high on thermals of delight
Master of the air
Master of your own life and destiny
Untroubled by the cares of life that I endure.

Soaring, stalling, tumbling, wheeling
A display clumsy aircraft cannot match
And never will
For you are dancing, not flying
Dancing on your nimble wings of pure joy.

Why can't I emulate your boldness
Attain like you a purity of being
Poor jealous man
I can but gaze upward with sad eyes
And unhidden admiration for you, Raven.
