BLACK & WHITE
Black and white photography requires seperate skills from colour photography, with tone, texture and form often becoming more important in the abscence of colour. Indeed, free from the distractions of colour, monochrome images are often more compelling and evocative, making a powerful statement about the subject. For most of my photographic life I have worked almost exclusively in colour, but the digital age has made all types of imaging so accessible that I have recently felt the desire to try this medium.
